Snow boarding guide (full license)

General information

Legal basis: §§ 26a ff Salzburger Schi- und Snowboardschulgesetz, (Salzburg Ski School and Snowboarding School Law), LGBl Nr 83/1989 as amended.

License for the occupational activity as a snowboarding guide. The activity includes the guiding or accompanying of winter-sports guests when snowboarding, without giving snowboarding lessons. The “full” snowboarding guide license entitles graduates of the ski-guide course to guiding snowboarding tours with a maximum of one day and to accompaniment on pistes and slopes in non-controlled areas in the proximity of marked pistes (“variant skiing”). Snowboarding tours lasting more than one day may only be carried out by holders of the alpine guide license.

Requirements

- Citizenship of an EU or EEA country - Main residency in an EU or EEA country - Reliability (judicial record or comparable evidence from the country of main residency) - Suitable state of health for the job (official medical record or result of a sports-medical examination by the Austrian Institute for Sports Medicine or a comparable institution of an EU or EEA country) - Professional qualification and sufficient professional experience (diploma - snowboarding instructor, further education, skiing-guide course of the alpine guide training, business-qualification examination or a course recognised as equivalent by the Regional Government of Land Salzburg)
